  • You also have 3 bolts to take out from the tank threw the frame plus disconnecting the gas line and the sender wires and it should slide right out .

  • I guess I didn't see that picture before. The original chassis had a spreader bar across the back, which was removed along with the tank cover to remove the tank. My '37 has a frame much like yours (I put a tube across the back) like yours in the picture. I trimmed about 1/4" off each support tank flange (without getting into the weld on that joins the upper to the lower). I can now slide it to one side and lower it out the bottom.

  • If it's the same as my '33 coupe, remove the rear tank cover and spreader bar and pull it out the back.
