Importing a car from Canada to Texas

Looking for info on exporting a Canadian car to the US
I have someone in Arlington, Texas interested in buying my '79 Mustang 5 liter. A rat chewed up the leather upholstery and the insurance company wrote it off and I bought it back. Unfortunately it now has a salvage title, but has gone through the British Columbia safety inspection. It's a survivor car, in the family since new, just turned 22,000 miles and is completely rust free, original paint, garage kept and drives like a new car. Has anyone imported a car from Canada recently that could tell me what's involved? Thanks, Bill PS, I'm not trying to sell it here, just asking for info on crossing the border. Thanks, Bill

Check with your State on required paper work from Canada.
Over the years I got 2 rods from Canada. First before paid for it, I matched the VIN on title to VIN plate on car. Had the seller's signature notarized in Canada, ditto bill of sale.
Does it have a VIN plate for border crossing ? VIN plate for your DMV's inspection ?
I can help.
