1970 Chevy Camaro - $18,500.00
1970 Chevrolet Camaro
If you're ready to have some fun then a spin around the block in this 1970 Chevrolet Camaro should definitely be on your list. It is one cool built up muscle car that loves to be driven. 1970 brought a big change for the Camaro line when the cars were completely redesigned. The new cars were lower, wider and longer than the previous generation and engineers reported this was more of a drivers car than before. The longer fastback roofline and elimination of the quarter windows made for a really tough looking exterior and other new features include a totally redesigned front end, double shell roof, pull up handles and much much more. This 70 model is in good condition and was built to handle both the track and the street with no problem. The body is painted white and the entire fiberglass nose piece and hood are removable. Quick fasteners are in place to keep it solidly mounted while driving but also giving you the ability to have full access to tune on the motor in just a few seconds. The front and rear bumpers are painted silver and are constructed of light weight fiberglass. The factory Black spoiler is mounted to the deck lid and is just the right touch to accent the White body. The car is street legal so the correct turn signals, brake lights, and headlights are nicely mounted in place and working. The glass is all in good condition and is slightly tinted. Weld wheels are found under all four corners with wide Mickey Thompsons in the rear. The center of the wheels have been sand blasted with the outer edge being polished.
The car runs down the road very well. Powered by a fresh 350 engine equipped with silver Chevrolet valve covers, an Edelbrock air cleaner and air gap aluminum intake. Other components in the motor include the mild hydraulic camshaft, Holley 750cfm carb, MSD distributor, and custom headers. Paired with engine is a freshly rebuilt Muncie 4 speed with scattershield bell housing and single disc clutch. This sends power back to the 9 inch Ford positraction rear end with 3:23 gears and aftermarket 31 spline axles. The car has Ford drum brakes in rear, GM disks up front and a Corvette dual master cylinder. The chassis/suspension consists of a stock front subframe, tubular upper/lower control arms, manual rack & pinion steering, coil over shocks/springs in both front and rear plus a 4 link rear suspension. To make room for those wide tires the rear was tubbed and the back seat removed.
The interior is done in black and utilizes the original door panels. Leather black bucket seats were added with harnesses on both. A custom full 8 point roll cage (not certified) was built for the car as well as custom metal paneling to give the rear a finished out look. The dash is completed with aftermarket with white faced Autometer gauges mounted into a brushed aluminum bezel. A C2 autometer tachometer was also mounted above the dash and incorporates a shift light. The Hurst competition shifter is mounted through the floor and has a pistol grip style handle. In front of the driver is a GT Grant steering wheel that is removable and sits on a race car steering column. The roll cage continues into the trunk where it protects the trunk mounted fuel cell.
This 70 Camaro looks extremely tough and has the power to back it up! It can handle a lot of horsepower should you decide to make it exclusively a track car but as of now it has excellent street drivability. For other technical questions call Tim Cruce at (817) 269-0171.
