A tornado( that killed 10 people as of last night) passed about 20 miles to the north of me. Too close for comfort! It destroyed my brother in laws brother's home. They were lucky to get out alive. I love and hate this time of year. They may find more bodies today. I certainly hope not.

Yesterday my son and I drove out the canyon roads in So. O.C. to have lunch. Turning left at a T intersection another car was turning right with another coming from the other direction. Apparently the guy was to busy looking at my car to check on comming traffic and pulled out in front of the other car going about 55mph. Both cars were completly totaled. If I had been another 30ft further into the turn pocket I would have been hit head on by both cars. Being in a fiberglass roadster, I think I would ha ... Read All ...

Anyone know of a small diameter 4" to 5" headlight that has both high and low beam? I'm wanting to install in my original '37 Ford buckets (with modifications). I'm ok with projector, HID, or halogen as long as they fit. I've looked at some bike lights, which are about the right size, but not sure about the lighting and hard to make them adjustable. Thanks, Bill

As most of you folks know my wife has cancer. Not just cancer but breast, liver and bone cancer as well as tumors on her brain. For the past 19 months we have been to the Brown Cancer Center so many times that parking attendant knows our names ! This past December her doctor told us that the out look was dim at best. Her treatments were not reducing the cancer but rather causing it to 'mutate' into other forms and spreading. So he ordered a stop to all conventional treatments. He than asked permission to p ... aven't been here for awhile sorry I haven't had much to say lately been busy at the shop. Sometimes things can get alittle overwhelming. I did pick this project up just for me. I haven't had a car in quite awhile had to buy the building I am in and that took all my spare change for the down payement. I bought this 48 buick about a month ago. took me three weeks to get room to bring it home. The man I got it from does soda blasting so I had him finish blasting the car. It will get sand blasted after I do all the metal work.Iam going to ... Read All ...

My son's 65 Nova has an awful gas odor when running. Your clothes will stink after a few seconds standing around it. It has a strongly built 355 w/hi compression and an agressive roller cam that comes on strong over 3000rpm. It has a new HEI ignit. w/new Taylor wires, 600cfm Edelb. carb on Performer manifold and shortie headers w/2 1/2" pipes & Flowmasters. It appears to be built for the strip, we don't know the specs and can't find the builder. We just want it for cruzin and shows, not racing, we ... Read All ...

I have a GM tilt column with locking key... when the tranny went out on me the ignition switch also decided not to work.... soooo the guys at the tranny shop wired in a simple key switch as a temp measure so I could get home. They also gave me a schematic so I could put it back together when I reached homw.... wellll you guessed it that was months ago and I lost the piece of paper :( so now you know the rest of the story.... my question is how do I wire it... I have coming off the switch a heavy red wire. ... Read All ...

I saw in the "do not touch" thread, a lot of discussion of running boards. My '36 has the original boards, but, the PO bolted some wood planks down through them, the mouldings on the edges are missing, and there is a general amount of dents and dings in them. I had pretty much reserved myself to the fact that it would be way easier just to buy a new set of steel replacements from "Smoothie." But, seems that comes with a price of risking paint damage... So, then the next question is -- ... Read All ...
