rented a booth, my middle son did the gray, I did the black, I wet sanded, he buffed. never could have done it all myself. and also want to say thanks to all of you that gave tips over the years to get my ride done.

June 02, 2010 02:24 PM in Looking to Buy!I'm about to start looking at street rods for sale; looking in particular at 38-41 Chevys. The first one I'm looking at is a 1941 Chevy 5-passenger coupe with all of the usual mods: 350 engine, 700R4 tranny, 9" Ford rear, Mustang II front end, 4-wheel power disc brakes, etc. etc. Anyone have any advice as to what to look out for, or what to avoid? June 02, 2010 02:19 PM in General DiscussionsI have a 650 Holley on a 302 Ford with a C4 trans.. Carb has been used on another vehicle for less than 100 miles. It has always seemed too lean so yesterday I put some larger jets in it. This is the problem. Off idle before new jets I had a hesitation. Past that ran good. Now hesitation has gotten very bad to the point it feels like it is going to either die or cough back through the carb. Past the hesitation point runs good. June 02, 2010 02:19 PM in General Discussionsjust getting into running brakes lines from a gm style proportioning valve and using a 2lb[front] and 10lb[rear] residual valve for front + back lines . front is disc, rear is drum . my question is there are two front brake lines coming out of proportioning valve ,do i 1. plug one feed up on proporting valve for front ,run residual valve inline before placing a t fitting to feed both calipers. or 2. run a 2lb residual valve on each front brake line coning out of proportioning valve to each caliper .Last Updated 06/03/2010 03:29 PM

I'm looking for a pair of buckets, power to both passenger and driver side, c/w with heat and lumbar if possible (I know I can add this later if I have to) in an older style......no rounded tops or built in headrests and with a maximum overall width of 21" so I have enough room for a narrow console/armrest in between. Builder I gave it too did real nice body work and built engine (but was never fired) but took forever and then he closed his shop. I have done all I can on car (wiring, fired and tuned engine, guages, insulation, seat, stereo, brakes, etc) but I need someone who is TRUSTWORTHY to line up front end sheet metal and paint it.Then I will need an interior shop after that.
