I know all of you guys have, at some point, had someone come up to you at a car show and ask you a question, only to argue when ya give him the answer. Last Saturday, while cooling my heels by my car at the GNRS, this guy comes up and asks about the "Great Greybeards Adventure 2014" sticker on my windshield (I just haven't taken it off yet). He wanted to know where I got it. I told him I earned it! I explained about a bunch of guys driving their cars from all over the country. I mentioned Flo ... Read All ...

I find young people (under 50) lusting after a buggy sprung, '40 binders, split wishbone, drag link steer'n 110 HP Flathead Hot Rod to participate in da Race of Gentleman, Georgetown Hot Rod Hill Climb or the Northern California Reliability Run. Cuz it looks like so much fun. I don't recall it was fun to bounce around on buggy springs, pray you'll be able to stop in 100 yards from 50 mph with '40 non energized drum brakes, while working to keep a straight line from bump steering if you didn't get the drag l ... What does any one think about putting nitrogen in your tires instead of just air and what is the advantage of it. In this area it cost $6-to-$8 dollars per tire to have it done and then you get 4 green valve caps. I think it is just more snake oil but my brother in-law thinks it should be done. Just your thoughts.

it's the little things that seem to take forever . this morning i decided to tear down the vent windows for the truck. i spent most of the morning getting one tore apart , dig out the old rubber and setting tape, polish the vent frame. if i had the parts here it would take a full day to get them all done.

Has anybody seen this problem before? I have a hydraulic brake light switch on my 37. I have 4 wheel disc brakes with a dual stage power booster. Running down the road and hitting the brakes, the lights do not come on. You have to push the pedal all the way tight to get the lights on which would throw you through the windshield while driving. is the switch bad or is this common. I can go to a different type switch I guess but curious. Could it be because its mounted in the line too far from the master cylin ... Read All ...

The latest STREET SCENE list a new Dakota Digital product designed to feed GPS info to your speedo. While this isn't new it does have predictive software to "fill inthe blanks" such as in tunnels and other times when a signal can be lost. It also has a feed for cruise control. Does it bother anyone that your street rod's speed could be controlled from 22,000 miles away?

Looking for a small condenser. Friend has one on his 34 that is not too much bigger than a trans cooler--he can not remember where he got it. Realize what Vintage Air says have theirs now, too big it covers the entire radiator and sit right against it. can not move it outward to get space for air flow won't clear the grille. Friend's A/C works fine with the small condenser and because it is small it sits an inch out from the radiator allowing good air flow. I have a remote condenser with shroud and fan it i ...
