Wanting to swap my 350 trans out for one with OD. Which one would involve less work, a 700R or a 200R? My understanding is the 200 size wise is the same as the 350 and would fit with less modifications. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Going behind a BBC.

el Mar 2015 Took a nice cruise down the coast to GoodGuys Del Mar on Saturday. Watched the sun come up on our left with the Pacific ocean on our right as a couple of us cruised along. Very nice. Beautiful day. Got there about 7:30 am and stayed till 4:30 then took a nice scenic route home. Del Mar was packed. Ran into our friend, Eric Hibbs (Daddio211), his wife, and his mother. Was havin' too much fun and forgot to take many photos, but here's what I got.

well time had come for the roto rooter test :( ins pays 100% every 10 years. or so we thought. seems it is 100% unless they find a polyp . if so then while your out they change the game and call it a procedure and slam you with 1500 bucks. at 64 there was a pretty good chance they would find at least one. thought on this for a while and decided against it. lot of money for one test so i opted for a full pet scan. little less money and better results . if there was any new cancer it would show up . had th ... When I've been prepping the '37, I've been hanging doors, fenders, hood, trunk lids etc., so that I can epoxy or prime both sides at the same time. While this works pretty well for the primers, I'm concerned that it might be tough to do the final painting this way as it makes it a bit awkward to get a nice easy angle to do one side or the other. I'm wondering if I should paint the underside of the fenders first then flip them over to paint the top side. Both sides will be the same HOK base/ clear. I cou ... Read All ...

This winter I installed a electric fan (pusher style) in my street rod . It has a puller style on the back side now . The reason I did this is because driving in town the A/C is cool but not COLD. Once I'm on the highway it is very cool . I have checked the low & high side on then A/C and there right on. My thinking is there is not enough air going thru the condenser. I do not have a cooling problem, it will run 190-195 around town .

8 sub frame I have a SWB 1958 Chevy Apache that my 10 year old son and I are rebuilding. I bought a 76 Camaro for the rear end to put under the truck and the sub frame for the front. I have seen many pictures where they cut the frame and but weld it to the sub frame but I am not sure where I need to cut the truck frame. Also do I cut any off the sub frame or just stick the whole thing under the frame as it runs to the back? All advise is welcomed. Thank you!

This may open a can of worms but I'm curious what you all know about the price of interior work. My 37 is going to need it all. Its a Coupe so only two seats, door panels, headliner, trunk interior, carpet. What should one expect to pay knowing you can spend a lot or a little. Curious what others have found, where, and any suggestions.

Thought I would replace all the 4 bar rod ends on the roadster then head off to GoodGuys All American show in the afternoon. I decided to also change the differential angle to put the drive in phase a little better as I was getting some vibration. After I was done and put stuff in the trunk I looked and didn't recall the left rear tire so close to the body. Looked at the other side and didn't recall the right side being so far away. In my rush I didn't pay attention to the triangulated upper bar lengths. ... Read All ...

hanging El Camino Interior... Gave up on changing the color of my El Camino interior and took it to a professional Friday. Never knew there were so many pieces to an interior that small. Also found a pair if 2002 Cadillac leather power seats today. Will take them to the pro also. Gonna look real nice now that I have a pro doing it. I got the console out of the caddy also but not sure if I can make it fit. Only things left are the door panels and carpet. Oh and the steering column and wheel :) I'll add some pictures when I start getting ... Read All ...
