Thought I would replace all the 4 bar rod ends on the roadster then head off to GoodGuys All American show in the afternoon. I decided to also change the differential angle to put the drive in phase a little better as I was getting some vibration. After I was done and put stuff in the trunk I looked and didn't recall the left rear tire so close to the body. Looked at the other side and didn't recall the right side being so far away. In my rush I didn't pay attention to the triangulated upper bar lengths. ... Read All ...

Gave up on changing the color of my El Camino interior and took it to a professional Friday. Never knew there were so many pieces to an interior that small. Also found a pair if 2002 Cadillac leather power seats today. Will take them to the pro also. Gonna look real nice now that I have a pro doing it. I got the console out of the caddy also but not sure if I can make it fit. Only things left are the door panels and carpet. Oh and the steering column and wheel :) I'll add some pictures when I start getting ... Read All ...

Since acquiring my 40 Ford coupe last August, I`ve disliked the painted bumpers. This past week the new polished stainless bumpers I ordered arrived. With the weather finally breaking (ever so briefly) I removed the old ones and installed the new. A much cleaner look, I think. So I`ve put new wheels and tires on it, changed out the belts, hoses and fluids, changed the graphics and now the polished bumpers Waiting for cruisin` season to begin!

I'll keep my comments to myself for now, but I wanted to get a feel for how other customers of Timeless Rods have done and what do you think of them - good or f**king useless. Or somewhere inbetween! Don't be shy!

I think I'm going to buy a "Flowkooler" brand water pump for my coupe. Whats the general feeling about this product ? Do they do what they claim? If I'm in stop / go traffic, A/C on, 90 degrees outside my temp rises and makes me uncomfortable. Nothing worse than watching the temp gauge. Walker rad, good shroud, exc mechanical fan, car will suck a piece of cardboard against the grille at an idle. Feedback please.

When I was in high school, and for a few years thereafter, the Mopar's all had very distinctive sounding starters. You know, back when they were building the Duster/Demon, and the like.... My Grandfather and I were talking about how I could hear one start and always knew what brand of car it was. He then told me that back in the day, Chrysler came out with what they called the "silent starter", and said it was going over big. He said it was such a novelty that it was bitting into Ford an ... Just a reminder ......I know several here on the forum and many of the "Greybeards" are planning on attending Back to the 50's in St. Paul. If you are one of the lucky who is going you may want to preregister if you haven't. Preregistration (must be received before April 29th) is $30.00 and registration at the show is $60.00 ca$h! That is a good steak dinner (maybe for Dixie) or a tank of gas. It is still a good savings. Also, I heard this could become the 2015 Great Greybeards Adventure ..... ... Read All ...

uggestions Welcome Okay guys I have widened the rear fenders on my '56 F100 3 inches and patched a big ass hole the PO cut for taillights. I MIG welded the steel strips in and patch panel in. I welded them from the inside of the fender and metal worked the outside of the fender. That part is ready for skim coating. Where I need some suggestions is what to do with the inside of the fender. Do I just knock down the weld bead some and epoxy prime then lay on the bed liner and call it good? I am not sure that I want to putt ... Read All ...

Been doing a little research about which rack and pinion to use on a Mustang II front end. Some say the '79-'93 Mustang (T'Bird) rack works better because the pressures are compatible with the GM pump. The price is sure better at under $100! Is it a direct bolt on? Drawbacks? Inputs?
