OK any ideas on how to control the torque convertor lockup since we are eliminating the ECM? I think the tranny is called a 200 metric or electric... probably a forerunner of the 200R4. It's a 3 speed automatic and works great but we are eliminating the computer so not sure how to handle the lockup

inished frame Well, update on the '39 Chevy frame build. Just about everything is in place, brakes plumbed and no leaks, gas lines run, air bags functional and the mounts for the gas tank are in place. For fuel line I used to use 3/8" brake line but I purchased a Dorman brake line kit which uses the new(er) car nylon lines and a tool to push the hose onto fittings. Think this is the way to go with fuel additives anymore. Will wait until after the LSSRA run the middle of June before transfer of the body. I'm sur ... Read All ...

A few years ago I saw one listed here.Location :West Virginia. It was white pearl with a gold top.and blue accents. Had vent scoops on the engine side panels.Anyone know about this car? Looking for a finished car. raf

/C trick after talking to someone about their a/c plumbing inside i thought i would share a trick on the large lines. inside much of time we have a short run with a sharp bend in it. i tape a good curve in the #10 line and let it set a few days. makes installing it much easier. hope this helps but worth every penny you paid for it .......

Been messing with this for 2 weeks. My car has a Chevy 350 , accel elec dist ,edelbrock Carb. It starts fine, idles fine. Leave home go 20 miles on the flat and go up this fairly steep grade and I get a stumble then back on flat it misses like hell, tries to shut off and does sometimes. If I catch it and kick it down I can get it home in 2nd at high rpms. But not at low rpms. I've changed, dist cap, rotor, coil. Even put a brand new edelbrock on it. It still does the same thing with all that changed. I hav ... Read All ...

The Fords 1957-59 Skyliners, and the T-birds 2nd or 3rd generations up through about 1963 (roadsters, I think), used a double ended Bosch 12V motor to drive the latches closed. These motors are about 1.75" across, and about 8" or so long. Where can I get one rebuilt, or get parts? Say a set of brushes? Anyone know for sure where these parts can be had without me going on a treasure hunt? The motors likely have a set of brushes at each end, cause there are 3 wires going in the body. (com ...
