ot August Cruise-in 2009 @ Downtown Hopkinsville KY Hello everyone, Friday night the 28th we went to the "Hot August Cruise-in" in downtown Hopkinsville, Ky. It was their first one. It was put on by several groups-WHVO Oldies Radio, Division of Parks and Recreation, Downtown Renaissance, the Hogshead and Vaperz Custom Car & Truck Club. Live music was provided by the Southern Dirt Band of Hopkinsville. The weather was fine and the crowd was happy so every body had a good time. They had about 75 cars show up and that's not bad for a first cruise-in. The cars show is tomorrow, but I will be at the Frog Follies in Evansville, Ind. Enjoy the pictures

rog Follies 2009 with Dale Satterlee Hello everyone, Well I got up at 5 AM and left town about 6AM to travel 75 miles to Evansville Ind. to attend the "FROG FOLLIES". My friend Fred Lamirain (he is a Ford man) went with me. After we saw the swap area-the vendors and all the cars it was 1:00 PM time for an ice-cream break in the shade. I was taking a pic of some guys acting silly. When I gave them one of my cards and told them to look for their pic on the web site from behind me came a card and a voice "AND YOU CAN SEE YOURS ALSO" - It was Butch Pate a fellow reporter from TN. It was good to meet him for the first time. That's all for now
    Enjoy the pictures

alamazoo 2009 with Brian41Chevy Unlike last year when you needed pontoons on your car to get back home, the weather this year at the Zoo was beautiful. Three full days of mid 70s and sunshine helped erase any bad feelings from last year. 2286 rods were in attendance this year from all

rog Follies 2009 with Brian41Chevy The Frog Follies is the place to be in late August if you are from the Midwest. Of course that doesn't mean you can't come from anywhere else either for one of the best shows in the country. Over 3800 street rods made their way from all over including Alaska and Hawaii. The weather this year was in the low 80's and mid 70's with low humidity. I have never heard of anyone leaving this show that has not had a good time. The show is hosted by the E'ville Iron club and they do a fantastic job. The proceeds from this show go to Easter Seal, and over the years that has amounted to over $800,000.00 dollars. If you get a chance make this a stop for next year and check out some Frog hospitality for yourself. See you next year!
