1948 Ford Coupe. This street rod has been a trophy winner for over 50 years! One look at the leaded all steel body and you can tell this is something special. This car is highly modified with changes to nearly every part of the car. Starting with the front you will see headlights from a 1961 Chrysler molded into the front fenders, a 1951 Studebaker windshield cut to fit, the grill shell from a 1955 Chevrolet truck with a steel mesh insert with chrome accents. The front and rear fenders sport forward and rear facing scoops with chrome mesh one of which hides the door pop switch. Custom lake pipes run down the side with a custom chrome mesh heat shield. The front passenger's fender holds two frenched antennas with a molded lip. The rear mimics the front grill and has frenched Mercury tail lights and bumpers from a 1960 Corvette. For fans of the unusual, this 1966 Dodge Charger is a fantastic find. Finished in extremely rare Metallic Mauve and powered by a 361 cubic inch V8, it's an iconic piece of Mopar history that stands out from its more common younger siblings. The Charger was Chrysler's early efforts to combat the Mustang's screaming success, and the fastback body style suggests speed and power, with a decidedly futuristic look. Proportions are quite pleasing to the eye, with a progressive enlargement of the rear quarters, giving the impression of powerful rear haunches. This particular Charger is extraordinarily clean with a high-quality repaint in the original Metallic Mauve color. There were surely not many Chargers painted this color, and depending on the light it ranges from silver to a medium purple, and with the wonders of two-stage urethane, the shine is simply spectacular. Nothing says summer like a bright red Chevelle convertible, and when you add a big block to the mix, the result is a car that will make you grin like an escaped convict every time you drive it. There's no question that if you're going to restore a Chevelle, you may as well go all-out and add the SS upgrades that improve performance and looks. This particular ragtop features almost all its original body panels save for the rear quarters, which have been expertly installed and finished so you can't even find the seams. The '69s featured clean styling and a forward-looking stance that makes them look fast just sitting still, and the brilliant red paint certainly emphasizes that impression. You know it, I know it, everyone knows that there aren't many cooler cars than a '69 Camaro SS in black. Combined with a slick contrasting black and orange houndstooth interior, this is one of the slickest resto-mods we've featured in a long time. Black with orange stripes is a classic combination that looks incredible on the taut sheetmetal curves of the '69 Camaro. Using the hockey stick style stripes gives this car a long, lean, predatory look that's emphasized by the perfect stance and oversized 17-inch wheels. Paint and bodywork are good, which is critical on a black car, and there's enough eye candy to keep you looking for quite a while. In case you haven't noticed, vintage trucks are red-hot right now, and those with something extra to offer, trucks like this awesome 1966 Chevy C10 for instance, are at the very top of the charts. With a hot GM crate motor, gorgeous '60s styling, and traditional colors, it's a workhorse that has learned to dance. The wheels, the stance, and the cowl-induction hood give it away, of course, but the two-tone color scheme is definitely period correct. The truck retains all the dramatic creases and details that make these trucks so iconic, and it's easy to see why collectors are scooping them up. This 1927 Chevrolet touring is an extremely unusual find. With right-hand drive, it was an export vehicle that probably spent its life in South America or even Australia, but found its way home for a complete restoration. With spirited performance and stylish good looks, it's a cool alternative to the vastly more common Model A and Model T. The colors are very period correct and very nicely done, with soft green bodywork and darker green fenders and trim. Combined with the rakish folding top, it gives this lovely Chevy a sporty look that matches its upbeat demeanor. The bodywork is quite well done, although it's not fair to compare a wood-framed touring car that probably spent the first twenty years of its life on unpaved roads to something more modern. The 1965 Chevy Impala was longer, wider, and lower, and it paid off with bigger sales and one of the most handsome full-sized performance cars of the era. This stunning bright red SS tribute hardtop brings all the goodies to the party, including a big block V8, a sizzling paint job, and perfectly-sized wheels that give it a 21st century twist on a classic look. The paint on this big Imp almost glows, and it's well-complimented by solid bodywork, which reflects light like a mirror and has been buffed to a dazzling shine. Some of you might be like me-you see this 1952 Plymouth's flathead six-cylinder engine and dismiss it out-of-hand. Mopar fans will be quick to correct you, and if you've never driven a post-war Plymouth, we would like to invite you to try this lovely hardtop on for size. You will be impressed by its superlative road manners and performance. In short, these are some of the best driving cars of the era, no matter the price. The Belvedere was Plymouth's upscale model, and with a hardtop body designed to compete with Chevy's Bel Air, it was a slam-dunk. The styling was graceful and beautifully proportioned, even compared to the other Plymouth models that year, and the two-tone paint job, called "saddleback" where the top and decklid were painted to contrast with the rest of the body, gives it a unique look.
