We fly there, trailer our rods and drive 'em, rent RVs and get bugs in our teeth from the open air roadsters. You can't beat the feeling of having a thousand Street Rods, Classic Cars and Hot Rods all cruising the local strip and taking over the hotels for a weekend. Some of us never leave the hotel parking lot while others wait all night at the front gate to get just right spot in the fairgrounds. Some of us became rodders at these shows, some of us were born this way, however it happened the local car show is our mecca, our temple. Billetproof 2008 (part two)

Well "Billetproof" first annual show at the Don Gartlist Museum in Ocala Florida was a whopping success. Sandra got pictures of almost every car there before her batteries all died. This was a free show with no billet or trailer queens allowed and the cutoff year was 1964. Even antique bikes were in attendance. Hot Rods, Kustoms, Jalopies, Choppers and Sleds. We think you will like seeing how it was, in some cases, back in the day. Other cases are more imigination gone wild :) All in all it was a great show with a few high dollar cars that sneaked in or paid someone off (I don't think they had Donovan small blocks back in the day:) Enjoy the show.... we did.
