I need to transport a street rod from LA to northern VA. I used the search function :) and found 2 shippers that had recommendations by the rodders here. Iron Jockey Transport had several recommendations from Dec 2005. TLC Auto Transport also got a no

700R4 lockup control
My street rod came to me with the 700R4 lockup wire disconnected. My mechanic noted this, and he connected the wire. Then the car would not shift into 4th gear at all. So, it was disconnected. 4th gear is back, but I don't believe I have a lockup in 4

Mid-Atlantic Cruising Season is open
I drove 45 miles down to Charlotte Hall MD (from Fairfax VA) to attend the Southern Knights Coming Out show for 2008. I was able to meet and talk to Jim and Rosina Mothershead, so that was a real plus for me. I was a bit anxious about my car over the ro

I found the temperature control (recently installed by my shop) for my radiator fan. The fan comes on at 170 degrees now, and I want to adjust it to turn on at 175, as it runs a fair amount after the car warms up (even in the winter) and the fan is prett

It sold Friday for $65,000 plus the bidder's fee. I was surprised that it didn't go for more. Seems like a really solid deluxe car. Are street rod prices somewhat soft there at Barrett Jackson?rod info from the B-J website:468cid/500+hp Chevy big block

I'd like to put some Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs in my street rod. It is a small block 350. I believe it is the HO, the 330 horse version. Car was built new in 2003. How do I determine which Bosch part number is correct for that engine? When I bought

I am looking at a 39 Ford to buy. It has a glass grill, I believe. How much would it cost to remove the old grill and install a new chrome grill and touch up the paint (if needed)? I want to know if this is a do-able job, i.e., < $1500 to install an
