At StreetRodidng.com everyone has a voice and everyone has something useful to contribute to the community. The User Blogs have been created to give each member a central place to "blog". Blogging is basically the same thing as a Discussion Forum and very similar to an online diary. 1936 LaSalle Resto Rod

paint repair
I had to weld a tab onto my painted frame. if you had to touch up frame paint from a welding repair you did after it was painted, would you blend it to the rest of the frame or back tape it?

cooling fan temp switch
anyone run the temp switch in the bottom of the radiator? did you run a lower temp switch to compensate for the difference between the engine and radiator temps?

power window kits
What kits do you recommend for my 36? I need to lose the wing windows so I figure I need to change over to power rather than trying to re-work my regulator to work with the wider glass.any Ideas I can get will really help. my doors are also wood fra

front wheel/tire placement
Today at a Rod Run I noticed most fat fender cars do not have the front tires placed in the center of the fender as when manufactured back in the day. Most have them set out almost as far as possible. So I wonder is this done to improve handling with the

is bigger really better?
in 1975, the year my engine and starter motor were produced the factory set it up with #2gauge battery / starter cables.Installed in my 36 LaSalle the battery is about the same distance to the starter.so why or will I need to install bigger cables? givin
