Have to run the steam line from the back of the heads. Rather than run the line to the top of the radiator tank and having a new fitting installed into the tank, would it work if we run the steam line to the overflow tank feed line? What about plumbing it into the line from water pump that feeds into the radiator? Thanks once again for ideas and suggestions.

You can run it into the radiator hose if you want. Also I see no reason that you can't run it into the overflow tank but it would have to be higher than the heads so that any steam that collect in the "pocket" at the back of the heads will find it's way UP to vent off. Steam does not do well going down. Don't forget this is reverse flow and the hose coming out of the thermostat housing goes to the bottom of the radiator.

willys--thanks for the ideas. Going to have the radiator shop put a bung into the top tank near the filler after all. Was trying to do something myself, but will be better off with the pros doing the work.

I had a brake fitting installed in the upper tank and used a stainless braided brake line on mine.

willys--thanks once again for the advice. The brake fitting makes sense. I was thinking the line had to be bigger, but then realized that for steam and pressure release, the line size really doesn't matter all that much and brake lines will work well.
