Has anyone used the Adam's Metal Polish on Aluminum? If so was the quality of finish as good as they promote?

Well I just got my two bottles of Adam's #1 & #2 polishes. I just polished ½ of the center of the wheel with this polish and then polished the other ½ with the “expensive” polish that I have been using. I used my daughter as a neutral judge. She didn’t know (or care) what ½ was done with what. She picked the ½ that I did with your polish because she said that she thought there were less scratch marks. I have done one wheel just quickly to see if I could tell any difference and I think it looks great. I will of course take more time in the future to do a good job. It appears that I have been converted to the Adam's Metal polish. Now I have plenty to clean before and if spring arrives.
Hey Adam, It's nice to see vendors or companies that sell products show an intrest on this site in what the average consumer has to say. Alot of companies seem to hide behind answering machines after the sale. It's not all about the product you order and all goes well as much as the little glitch issue that can be handled from friendly support tech on the phone. Thanks for being available and Welcome Aboard!!
I read the post and all of the replies. I emailed Adam's on the 25th and still only got the normal we will reply but we are busy and it has now been close to a week. At least team5150 liked it. I am always skeptical until I either use the product or hear a lot of good things. I am still reluctant to try the Zoops sealer on the polished aluminum after getting it all shined up.
Mcduff did you ever try the Rain X on your polished aluminum as mentioned by "dcool" a while back . I said I woud give it a try on a hidden piece of billet, but honestly I haven't had the time lately to try it. I think I might try it on a small piece this week. Will let you know if it works or if I have to buy a replacement piece. ;-)
I have used the Adam's polish and I am not kidding it is the easiest stuff to use ever ! Smells great too ! It is not a compound - it is a thin liquid that requires no hard work to get a great shine. I cheat and use a powerball. They will even give you a 110% refund if you don't like it. That's putting your money where your mouth is. Call them at 866/965-0400.
By the way - I have no connection to this company at all - just a very satisfied customer.
Hello all, I just joined here, and am looking forward to supporting StreetRodding.com. My name is Adam, and I started Adam's Polishes a little over 5 years ago. First, thanks to those who have had nice things to say about our products.
Tom (team5150) was kind enough to call me and give me heads up, as I'd let some emails slide. I'm sorry for the lack of reply to a few of your emails! I may have lost them in a spam filter, or just plain let them slip by while travelling to shows. Either way, sorry very much! If you would like get direct contact with me, please, call me toll free: 866-965-0400. I'm at extension 201. Thanks again for the kindness, and I look forward to supporting this site. Sincerely, Adam Pitale
Orphans2 no I never tried Rain X and I should. I have used it for years on the windows and the rubber around it. Before Rain X just waxed the windows. I might do like you are suggesting and put it on somewhere out of sight and surely hope that we don't need a replacement part. I'll let you know if I get to it before you do. I will try to give Adam a call to hear what he has to say to compare his product with the other 4 that I already have.
Out here the state uses some sort of chloride chemical on the roads instead of salt and sand, but it eats the shine right off the polished aluminum, like it's being etched. Even if you wash it off right away, still manages to dull the surface.
Short of dissasemby and taking the stuff to the polisher, can I use something my self to shine it back up? Will this adams polish stuff work for me. I can get a powerball to cheat with........

I just received my Adam's Polish #1 and #2. I plan on doing a comparison with the other "rubbing" polishes and see if there is a difference that is noticeable. I did one center of a wheel last night and is seemed to do great. More to come as I get into clean up for spring on the 32.
yes there prompt however i dont think one paragraph and a few pictures is enough to buy a 50 dollar bottle of metal polish i use these guys www.sheengenie.com heck check them out it will be worth your time plus they have a ocn test going on!
AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A BETTER PRODUCT TO WORK WITH. HAVE NOT TRIED ADAMS YET, BUT WILL IN THE FUTURE. SO FAR LIKE MCGUIRES HOT RIMS AND ENGLISH CUSTOM POLISH THE BEST FOR ALUMINUM.
It's always interesting to me to read the comments of everyone. Of course that's what makes this sport so cool is that different people like different things. I am not sure what/who Derek was referring to about the 50 dollar bottle. Tommy I have both products and the big difference that I have found is that most of the polishes have some grit in it to clean the metal up. If the metal is in pretty good shape and doesn't need the abrasive to clean up scratches, Adams Polish #1 and #2 works great. I use my Mother's billet paste to clean up the rough surfaces and then even go over that with my Adams. Like I said everyone has differences of opinion, but I do like my Adam's stuff. I just used their new polish and wax on my 32 and I am really pleased with the outcome. The Adams stuff from the polish, glaze and wax is so easy to take off, and for anyone reading this no I am not employed by Adams Polishes, I just like their stuff.
This was the first time I think the metal was cleaned. Maybe in the future I will try the Adams Polish. Right now I put a paste wax over what I cleaned.
Love the Adams spray detailer and the bubble gum smell. The Adams Butter Wax is a superior product as well. I was hoping Adams would be at the NSRA Nats in Louisville to purchase more products but don't see them on the vendor list.
Gman, go to their website and you can get on his mailer and then get email notices of specials. I order most of my stuff online. Adam is amazing and answers questions directly. I once had a running email dialogue with him on a Sunday. If you like their butter wax and use a polisher, you will have to try the new wax and polisher made for the machine. His videos are interesting showing different aspects of care for the car. I agree with Mike that their glaze and instant detailer are great. adamspolishes.com
