I used secret audio in my 36 Ford with their CD changer in the truck. I had trouble with the changer, twice sent it back once 2nd time I junked the whole system, it would have err message you couldn't eject the CD's. Very poor reception with turner. Not worth the cost in my view.
Ditto on what ORHotrod said. Called their tech phone number with some questions and got a foreigner female who had no idea what I was talking about. I think you can do better somewhere else.

keep in mind there are different levels of equipment. where you buy dictates the quality. i have bought from crutchfield for many years with no problems.

From what I hear the iPod can have a docking station and you get tons of custom stuff. Also I found out the MP3 is not a special small disc player but a format like .gif etc. and you can convert all your tunes to .mp3 and hold tons on one disc. I have a tin ear and I also drive with the window down to yell at all the idiots on the road (why are they yelling back?) so having 14 speakers and amps etc. does me no good.
Get off the trailer and drive

Got one in my '37 Ford Wild Rod. Not the best quality. 10 disc changer did not work out of the box..called them, they immediately sent replacement. They did not want the old one. Characters began wearing off the touch pad in about 400 miles. Poor FM reception. RF clicker does work up to 20 feet.
If you must have remote clicker, be certain it is RF signal. Check Sony and Panasonic.
Just bought a Sony Package from Walmart with AM/FM/CD/MP3, 2 6 1/2" 2 way speakers and 2 6x9 3 way speakers for only $94. Will use it this latest '37 Ford project.
once again the Street Rodders have spoken. Thanks to everyone that gave their opinion. what a great place it is where you can get an honest answer to a question.
Now, let my pick my words carefully, so I don't make it sound like I am being too critical.
I would not buy another radio from Custom Autosounds if they were the last people on earth selling radios. Their stuff is pure junk, and their tech support is even worse! I think that they seal their radios simply to keep you out of it so you can't see how cheap it is inside. It does not even make a good doorstop, because it is too light to hold the door open. Please keep in mind that I am still in the Christmas spirit and am being kind in my assement of the units that they sell.
I've never heard a Custom Autosound brand system that sounded worth a pinch of ____.
I've done a lot of very high end systems over the years, and I have bought a lot of equipment from Crutchfield. Still, I'd recommend you go talk to a local REPUTABLE car audio shop. These guys know their stuff and will steer you in the right direction. If you're looking for mid to high end audio this is the ONLY way to go. Plus they have all of equipment right there for you to see and play with.
If you're looking for low end audio then Custom Autosound, Wal-Mart, Checker/Schucks/Kragen, Auto Zone, etc are where you can shop. Even if you're looking at a particular "brand name" deck at Crutchfield or your local car audio store, then find it at one of the above mentioned retailers, ITS NOT THE SAME DECK! Don't be fooled by this, but most manufacturers have a premium and a low end line. The Wal-Marts of the world get the low end stuff. The part numbers will be different, and although the specs look very similar they aren't!
Good luck with what ever you choose. I'm happy to help if I can.
