Shine you have talked how you like your Iwata paint gun.Right now Eastwood as sale on their Iwata LPH 400 LV HVLP gun no. 12796 for $435.99 down from $484.99. Is this agood gun? I have only painted about 4 cars and a couple of motorcycles, they came out pretty good but feel i need all the help i can get. They also have the primer gun No. 12797 for $299.99 minus 10%. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks

the iwata is new technology. it shoots at a low presure and wide open. when you get it go to " asetusa.com" and " hub " will help you get squared away. it is not too bad if your new to painting. great gun to learn on but for an old fart like me it was tough to change my habits i have the lph400lv4 . it came with a 1.4 nozzel. i also have a 1.3 nozzel and the lvb cap for metallics. the iwata with a 1.3 will out shoot other guns with 1.4 and above. remember it's not putting on thick layers anymore. if you do you get "thanepeel " thin slick coats is what your after. thing to remember the plastic lid will shrink and get loose. soak it in thinner for a few hours and it will tighten up.

coupe, cant help with the develbiss. i used them for 30 years but their new hvlp guns went walmart on me. some painters are having good luck with them. i tried many guns before i replaced my jga's. sharps guns suck period. sata is too damn high for what they are . dont even get me started on all the hf purple junk and copies. why someone would want a 40 dollar gun is beyond me.

it is hands sown the best gun made. takes a little learning but it is worth every penny. i tried the sata but it is heavy and does not perform as well. i plan to get the lph 440 primer gun.

Thanks Shine appreciate the info. What to you mean it takes a little learning? because air pressure is different? Thanks for tip to get their regulaters to, this will probably save me on making a second order. This is why i ask someone who has used this gun and knows what they are doing with it! Thnks again.

be sure to buy your regulator from iwata along with hvlp fittings. the regulators from others dont work down around the 10 to 20lb range .
