Has anyone installed bucket seats that have the seat belts included within the seat. I understand that there is some type of computor equipment required to be installed with the seats. I was looking to put same in my 46 chevy truck. Does anyone have any other option or type of bucket seat that they have used for a 46?

I have an 2003 Trailblazer, the seat belts have enertia reels with nothing to do with a computer other then if not buckled a light on the dash illuminates. I also know of rodders that have used these seats with no problems. A friend of mine matched the interior leather to the Traailblazer seats he used, it looks great.

Some seats have side airbags built into the sides of the seat backs and are wired into that system. Most people have the bags removed and the upholstery patched. There are also wires for the seatbelt idiot lights, power seats, seat heaters, etc.; as well as power seats wired to computer memory to store positions of multiple drivers. Best find out what car the seats came from.

Good seats to use are the leather Tahoe, Yukon, Trailbrazer and Envoy. They all have seat belts attached.

Thanks, but is there a need for any special equipment to control the movement of the seat belts, I'm being told by the local scape dealer that they are controled with the computor system with the vehicle. Is this True or not, that is now the question.

Sebring convertibles have leather buckets about 22 - 24 inches wide and they have built in seat belts and shoulder harness....no computer involved...
