Hello out there, I have just started retirement and I,m looking to rebuild a 1946 chevy 1/2 truck, as it sits at this moment I have a 350 motor and trany, with a 10 bolt rear end. I know very little about hot rodding same other than what I have read in books. I could used any ideas or pictures that anone would be willing to send me. Looking for information on wiring, stainless brake line installation and installation of a 20 gal stainless fuel tank, where it should be placed.

Thanks

Andy

Andy, there are a lot of good folks on this site to assist you in every step as you build. Before you start, do yourself a favor and decide what you want in a finished truck. Make a plan of attack for each modification and set REASONABLE goals as to time and money spent on each one.

One of the biggest reasons for failure/discontent is having to make costly changes due to poor planning. Read every thing you can and ask everyone you can about how their projects faired and what they did. I think you will find most real rodders are willing to help.

Pick a starting point after your plan is complete and do one task at a time. Haste makes waste!! Take your time and enjoy the rebuild.

Welcome Andy, I agree with Ron, Start with the finished concept you are looking for and plan toward it at a pace that can enjoy. You take to bigga bite at once and you'll get a bad taste in your mouth. There are alot of good intentioned projects out there that people got in over their head either from skill level or funding and then it wasn't fun anymore. I still say half the fun is building it. Not only are you on one of the best sites to gain knowledge but in front of the most informative tool you can own. Do a web search or "google" any topic you want to find and you will be reading forever. Enjoy and don't hesitate to ask ??????'s
