Hell dont be afraid of painting. I made several mistakes and you learn from mistakes.

Always remember a person who dont make mistakes is a person who doesnt do nothing

When I painted this 32 coupe I made my own paint booth and got a inexpensive HVLP

worked great with base coat clear coat The coupe is white and sea-corral with red pearl over the whole car and 4 coats of clear and wet sanded with 2 micron and buffed

Nice ride! You did a great job on the 32! Paint looks real good for a beginner. Hell, I probably couldn't get all of the parts out of the boxes in 3 months, let alone put them together to resemble a deuce! I wouldn't worry too much about the gaps, I got an all steel car that has factory gaps more noticeable than yours.

Thanks Leon, but no need to apoligize there guy. My goal in this build up, was to take a top 40 at the wildwood boarwalk show in NJ and I set that goal. Hell ya cant see the gap in the hood when its opened at the shows LOL. People are just surprised that the car was built in 3 months. My question to anyone out there I,m running a straight axle set up and Im not to happy in the steering What should I set that caster at on the axle I got it set at about 7 degrees should I go more ANd the front shocks suck I got with the frame. any Ideas anyone

I don't mean to be the bad guy that points out problems, Sorry if it was something you didn't want noticed. I like the looks of it and its a nice color choice.

I apoligize for sounding critical, but these days there are so many people that are building glass 32s and next thing you know, they think thier Roy Brizio. Im not saying that you fall in that catagory, But if you go to any decent event that has vendors, You will find several of these guys selling "you guessed it", 32s, So now days when I see a newly built 32, Yes I am very critical of them.

With that in mind, If your building the car for yourself to enjoy It looks great despite any small issues. If you fall in the other catagory,.... I don't need to go there.....

The 32 looks great. It's always good to paint at least one.... it gives you an idea why the pros NEED to charge what they do for a top quality paint job.

Leon, it's good to hear from you.

Back during World War ll, the public could not buy a car. So, to jazz up your old car, some company came up with the "Miracle Mitten" ...one gallon of your favorite paint color and a glove coated with horse hair on the palm. $4.95.
I have two to sell, he, he.
