Has anyone used the TP Tools turbine paint system? How well does it work in regards to application & overspray?

i wont say it's a great tool but i wont say it's not. i've used one before and they actualy work ok. a 5 horse compressor will work better.the world of paint is ever changing and getting to the point that a novice is out of luck. i'm having a tuff time with the new paints and i've painted all my life.

Shine,

When you use Centari do you clear it or color sand it?

depends on the color. cant buff red and some blues. i do a lot of black paint jobs and love centari for them. there is a centari ultra that was ok. i've gone back to ppg now because dupoint does'nt service any small towns anymore. i use the concept clear now.

shine, is the PROBLEM EPA? Is it the new compounds within the new painta? Is it because of WD-40? JUST KIDDING. Really though what problems are you and others going thru? Dale

as it was put to me the problem is the new high solids paint. it's all designed for production. it's to the point that you have to have a high dollar paint gun just to shoot it. i absolutly hate all the new clears. they dont flow , they had to come up with additives to stop it from sagging. it has to dry fast yada yada yada. what most production shops call done is a reject in my shop. i will not change my way of doing it. i'll quit first. i sand and buff everything and always have, always will. thanks to the tree huggers there will be no painting someday. the more the epa screws with it the worst it gets. i'm about to spend a small fortune on a new gun just to shoot clear. i would rather use centari enamel than anything new on the market.

I've used one to paint anything from hrse trailers to pickups. I is all its advertised to be. The paint thinning takes a little adjustment. Its as good as my old Binks.
