Can anyone recommend a good portable sandblaster. I have been looking at the Ace 90 DM and the Brut 99h. Thanks for your help.

Storm, depends on what you are going to use it for and the equipment that you have to run it. If this is a one time shot at a frame, take it somewhere and have it done. If you are going to use it for little parts, maybe a cabinet model is what you need. Do you have the larger compressor? Do you have a place to do blasting where sand won't be a problem after? I've heard people say that they wished they had got a good pressureized pot blaster instead of the little $35 models. Lots of questions and no clear answers, each person's needs are different.

no matter what kind you end up with be careful with sheetmetal. the smallest blaster at 50 lbs will warp sheetmetal. another tip, if it sets up fo a while take it apart to clean. crickets just love them, so do rats and they will clog it up. everytime i use mine there are at least 50 or so crickets down the hose. crazy uh.
dont poke the porchdog........he bites

Thanks for your responses. I have enough air to run any type of blaster (20 cfm @ 100#s). I don't need a cabnet blaster as I have access to one. I have a cheap blaster now which proves you get what you pay for and I want to upgrade. The two units I am looking at are in the $400 price range and appear to be well constructed. Thanks for the tips on sheet metal and crickets.
