What kits do you recommend for my 36? I need to lose the wing windows so I figure I need to change over to power rather than trying to re-work my regulator to work with the wider glass.any Ideas I can get will really help. my doors are also wood framed with all the mechanical parts set in wood. thanks

I purchased power windows from Parr Automotive for my 37 Ford and they were a fairly simple install even for a rank amateur like me. Rick

I also used Balls power windows in the 33 Willys because they were the only ones that would fit in a very narrow door. Work fine, easy to install.

You must have a Chevrolet or Plymouth or something else non-Ford since Fords don't have vent glasses until 1940 in cars and 1949 in trucks.

There wouldn't be any reworking of your regulator, just eliminating the rigid window channel that divided the vent window from the rising window and making a channel forward of that to hold your new longer glass. You'll have to install a new upper felt channel that goes over where the vent window was too.

If you don't think the regulators will handle the extra glass, check it out by having ONE glass cut to the new dimensions, installing it and giving it a try. You may be surprised.
