Today at a Rod Run I noticed most fat fender cars do not have the front tires placed in the center of the fender as when manufactured back in the day. Most have them set out almost as far as possible. So I wonder is this done to improve handling with the wider track or luck of the draw because of the clip used?

Probably a early Camaro/Nova sub frame. They must be narrowed for most applications but never are.......bad engineering.

Having fun with old cars, Jim

Luck of the draw on clip width AND wheel choice.
