I just red this ad: $10,000 06 Suzuki GSRX 1000 This bike is perfect. Has 1,000 miles and has had 500 mile dealer service (expensive) It has been adult ridden, all wheel have always been on the ground. I used it as a cruiser/ commuter. I'am selling it because it was purchased without proper consent of a loving wife

Apparently "Go ahead, do whatever the f*** you want" doesn't mean what I thought

Call Steve @ (866 ***-****

How many times has this happened to you with a hot rod project car or just parts?

i tend to have the opposite problem, mine keeps trying to get me to buy more. one year she showed up on my birthday with a raked out chopped panhead. Another she bought her '38 Chev from the auto trader, and then asked if i could build her a car. This week she had me chasing a '32 sedan, turned out to be so rough that it would take 3>4 years just to get it in primer.

Maybe it would be better if she just said no.............

Never with a rod project, but once about 30 years ago I screwed up and bought something small without telling her and she has never let me forget. Two lessons learned. 1. Never buy anything without first mentioning it, unless it is for her; and 2, never, but never buy anything for yourself within two weeks before my birthday or Christmas. No matter how bad you want it, the misery just ain't worth it.

I m like davyj and 72cheyenne, my wife loves old cars and street rods! I usually have several street rods and several street machines, when we bought the 34 Ford truck, she pushed me into getting it. It came with a Hemi, turbo 400 and vette rear, I put in blown crate 502, turbo 400 and 9 inch. She got mad when i sold 65 pro street el camino. list goes on and on. Only time she wasn t to happy waswhen we were dating to show her what she was in for before we got married, went to lousianna from fla. and bought my Anglia, it came body only, no glass, interior, drive train, nothing! It was old race car and was butt ugly.It was painted school bus yellow with black panels. We were backing in drive to put in garage and she came out and said "you went how far to get that!? Now she loves it, have owned for @ 12-13 years and she has never doubted me again! It helps when you both like old cars/rods, not only with the money but with the trips, shows, runs, etc.

I must have won the jackpot. My wife is very supportive of my hobby. In fact she told me she want's to set aside a little $ from her paycheck for my car stuff. Go figure, she likes me I guess....

I knew this would get everyone tail feathers in a ruffel. I agree, my wife has never influenced any decision that I made concerning purchase of hot rods, parts, or whatever. But she has been the excuse for not purchasing many things, you know "I have to check with my wife before I can make this deal" Yea right. It is better to get what you want and suffer the consequences later, because you still have what you originally wanted. But we still love them all the more, I am not completely stupid after all. Den
