I just had to let you guys know that I am sure missing my 32 right now. I am in Taiwan for 3 weeks on business stuff and what keeps me going is reading the threads on Streetrodding.com. Keep the discussions going guys because I am in total withdrawal of not being able to work on or drive my baby.

Mcduff, don't eat too much of that stuff in Snake Alley, and you do know what a "Barber Pole" in Taiwan signify's. Don't spend too much time in those places.

Mcduff, There's only one thing worse than being away so you can't enjoy yourself in the shop or in your car and that's being at home seeing it everyday and not being able to do anything. I've been on LOA because of the bum arm for 4 wks and got 2 more to go. I figured 2 wks tops but what do I know. I can piddle around wasting time in the garage but I'm to the point that everything I need to do is waiting on me to get back to work so I can fab some parts in the shop. Enjoy the time your there and see some sights!!

Thanks guys. Luckily I have a guy from our company looking after me. I have heard about the Snake Alley and the "Barber Pole" so I will stay clear. The food has had some impact on the old digestive system, but that is part of life with me. Taichung seems to have more western food that "sits" better with me if you get my drift. Shine should come over here and do some of that famous grilling. That would be some road trip with the trailer! Thanks John every little bit helps these days. Can't wait to get back in two weeks!

As much as it rained here today (Sunday morning) they couldn't have any cruisins. They have water runoff ditches that are probably 20 feet deep and sometimes 100 feet wide and the white water rafters would have a field day. They were rivers moving like mad. The plant that I am working at had a parking lot under water. Anyway thanks for all the conversations. It sure helps!

It always rains in Taiwan and I mean it rain's. I used to work for the FAA and we were there investigating an aircraft accident in January and it rained for almost 3 weeks straight. You've got to go to Snake Alley just to see it. Where are you staying there? The times I've been there, we stayed at the Sherwood Hotel which is downtown and really a first class hotel. Never had any problems with the food, just don't eat any of those Thousand Year Old egg's, they are nasty. Those places with the Barber Pole's are great for getting the kink's out after a hard day's work. What impressed me about Taiwan was all the motor scooter's and how they would all bunch up and take off at the traffic lights without them killing each other. What also bothered me about the place was the lack of American sport's on TV. Good luck and stay safe.

Gman, I sure agree with you about the scooters. They are crazy. They make lefts from the right lanes on a red light in front of the cars. There are thousands of them and man they aren't afraid of anything. The Taiwanese seem to not have road rage like we do or they would be shooting themselves all the time. It's like there are no rules for driving here. He who has the biggest balls wins! Taichung is pretty nice but my tolerance for food is pretty low so I have to watch what I eat. So far so good. Hopefully I will be able to see more of the sights this weekend before I leave on Monday. At least I am finding out it is really cold and rainy back home so it doesn't sound like I missed any cruisins that I wanted to go on. I am looking forward to getting the 32 back off the stands and ready to hit the road, if I can afford the gas prices.

Thanks Crash I appreciate the advice. I have seen some sights and hope to see some more this weekend before leaving. You are right that you don't get to experience this kind of thing very often.

I hope that the wing gets better soon. I can't imagine looking at the car and NOT being able to work on it. Bummer! I have mine pretty much back together after a winter of improving things. It sure is nice to be able to get on this site and "talk" to such a nice bunch of guys. Hell even Shine takes the time to give me the business sometimes. This is a great site!
