Think it depends on the car you are building. I hunted high and low for a set of Guide headlights for the '32 Highboy. They look good on a period correct car, but a set of the new chrome tri-bars with built in flashers would be out of place on this car.

I suggest you go to Susquehannah Motorsports.com. They have a lot of good information on the different types of lighting available. I chose a Hella 7" round reflector with the screw in halogen light bulb. This offers a large selection of wattages, bulb type: halogen, Xenon 10, 20, 30% white etc. I used the European E-Code lights which put all of the light pattern on the road instead of 20% stray light for lighting overhead sighns like the DOT reflectors do. I was able to carefully drill off the mounting lugs and they snapped right into my Bob Drake repro headlight buckets.
Wood2b,You can't ask for more complete imformation then that.I can remember back in the mid 70's having a car that I put Ciebe Z-Beam headlights.Boy I wish I still had them.I use to have two sets of bucketts. One with the Z-Beam headlights and one set of buckets with original headlights for going thru state inspectin back then.Heck,I almost forgot about them.Hey,thanks for all the imfo.......Al C
