I hate to disagree w/ you Maniac but I've had several less than blissful experiences with RB's. First, I bought one of their M/C-booster kits for my '48 Chebby p/u - it didn't fit properly. I called about it and was promptly told there are several bolt configurations on those old trucks and that I'd just have to work it out (rudeness and poor customer service). Next, when I was trying to fit headers to my old truck, I thought I'd "ask the experts" on these old trucks (RB's) - I called the tech line - was told they don't know anything about it and I'd just have to work it out. Finally, at Knoxville last year, I had a wiper motor strip the gears in a Mity Wiper. They were the only vendor I could find that sold them and/or stocked them at the show. When asked if they could help me out so I could get home in the rain, they were "less than" helpful. Now granted, I didn't buy the original from them, but as "streetrodders" I would hope they would do all they could to help a guy get home in the rain w/ a wiper! Sorry, 3 strikes and RB's is out of my game.
wonderful! thanks rodsnhawgs. i went back and searched the forums for RBs Auto and was able to find about a dozen people (mostly awsum34) promoting RBs and no one had anything bad to say after they were suggested. let's get some other opinions in here because we want this section to be accurate. Should RBs be in here or not?
Big Al sittin back in paradise.

Hate to hear about your bad experience, Rods, I bought their front end when it came out in 88 or so. They were good to deal with then. I have since purchased all the rubber parts for the car weatherstrip and such and had no problems either.
I can only relate what happened to me, could be things have changed over there? I haven't bought anything from them in a while. Like shine said in another forum one generation is stepping aside for the next generation, who knows what that will be like?
And don't worry about disagreeing with me, this page is about helping out..No harm No foul :-)
By the way what happened to the pickup tailgate, did they fix it?
no word yet on the tailgate - the owner of the dealership is heading to Las Vegas this month (Ford convention) and hopes to get some info. I'll keep you all posted as to how it unfolds. I ran into our State Atty General the other day and mentioned it to him so now he's aware of it if it goes that far.
