Did GM ever make an IROC Camaro 305 engine? If so does anyone have any idea what the engine specs. were. lyled If so how does it compare to the Boss 302?

No comparrison what-so-ever. The BOSS 302 was a performance motor through and through with 400+ HP, where the IROC's 305 was basically a FI'ed smogger motor. I think they were rated somewhere around 235 HP, and most owners say they were nowhere near that!

Got a 305 in a 39 Ford deluxe. Gets down the road, but ain't fast. Car is candy apple red with flames. Looks hot, but a red light challenge will only lead to humilliation unless the challenge is with a Yugo.

Especially since some of those little rice burners are pumping out 260 hp from a little 4 cyl. The 39 is a delightful cruiser and will avg 23 mpg hiway. Runs cool now with 2 pushers and 1 big puller fan. With little space under the hood and a lack of good ventilation, it can be a hottie. Just got to remember to leave the red light challenges to others.
