I would appreciate any help finding place to get a license plate frame for a 1928 Michigan license plate. It is larger then the current standard license plate, my 1928 plate measures 12 5/8" X 5 ½". The current standard size is 12 ¼ X 6 ½.

Thanks in advance for any links or locations that could help me find one.

Before investing in an expensive new frame, are you aware that in that era that Mich plates came in different sizes? Just got one for my 32 that is almost current size, about 1/8 inch smaller on all sides

Hey guys, thanks for the responses to my post. I now plan to design and make a frame myself.

Teal32: I checked out the becart.com website and got some ideas for a design and a method of assembly. I'll take pictures when it is done and post them on here for other rodders to see.

I'm doin a 32 3 window and gonna register it with original AZ 32 copper plate, which are much smaller than standard plates. I whittled out a frame on my Bridgeport. Any small machine shop can build ya what ya need. Only takes about a 25 minute set=up and 45 minutes machine time.

Here's one link: http://www.becart.com/licenseframes.htm. Never tried them, but it's a start.
