I am working on a mid 80,s GM car with a half vinyl top. the top has imbossed aluminum mouldings that are painted to match the top. These need to be repainted . Any ideas on the process?? Thanks , KEITH

If you use DP90 make sure it is not California style DP 90 LF (lead free). It blows compared to "real" DP 90 which is not LF, and is a great product.

strip all the paint off the molding then scuff with 180 grit paper use an epoxy primer such as dp 90 pr 40 then paint color wanted. the epoxy primer will stick well to the molding and the paint will stick to the primer . don't get paint or primer too thick or the molding will look ugly
