Thanks guys, I have been looking on e-bay but the shipping cost on the bigger machines will kill you. Shine , It would be hard to get one finger on each hand together under the needle , thats the way i type. Now the way i spell makes me wonder if there is any thread at all up there ??? Later , KEITH

Keith,

Some time back I decided to do my own sewing and after searching around and doing some "homework" I discovered there is very little sewing except for the seats. Of course the stuff that you do sew, like carpet or making some welting, does require a stout machine. I went to a local flea market and searched for a non zig-zag, no frills old machine. Found a portable that weights a ton, has metal gears and will sew your finger to the material if you are not careful. Special features of the machine is forward and back...that's it! Price was $25. Still runs good today.
