I have a 85 firebird doner car. Are the P/W units any good for adapting to my 39 Pontiac or is it better to go with the aftermarket. There seems to be a wide range in prices on these. I don't want to buy junk . Any suggestions ?? Thanks KEITH

Go with the ones from the doner car. It's not a snap but if a motor fries somewhere down the line you will be able to just go to the junk yard and get a new one. The money you save can go to other "things" that were once out of reach. The inside of the door doesn't have to be cute, the window has to go up and down!
