can the trans. cooler holes in my walker radiator be left open? i am using a remote cooler instead of the radiator cooler and can not find a plug for these holes that does not stick out so far that they hit my cooling fan. the radiator is real close to the fan and can not be moved any farther away.

plug the tubes you may want to use them at a later date or use the radiator in another car and need the cooler, and you don't want dirt in the trans cooler.

Surely a flat top brass pipe plug will fit and clear. The lip of the bottom tank should stick out that far

Plug them with an 1/8 inch pipe thread, Allen set screw as said above. These will set flush with the cooler, no obstructions........Done.

You might want a daub of black silicone to seal those tubes. If you're in the country around here any opening gets plugged by dirt daubers or other insects that like to leave their children in dark places.

You can plug them with an allen set screw, nice and flush, and put on teflon tape too, ONLY if you ever have to remove it, NOT because it will leak, there is no fluid in there.
