Has anyone used wing windows on their roadster? I'm trying to find out how they work before I go drilling my stantions. I'm trying to cut down on getting my face ripped off on the highway, with the top up and back window in.

Jay, what I did on my roadster was cut a radius slot in the Lucky's wing window for the mirror. That way you can remove them quickly. Since I only used them on trips with the top on, I could remove the wings and the top quickly when I reached my destitnation.

Understand that wing windows really help when the top is on. I am looking for a pair also for my roadster , the problem it seams that no one makes one for a 3" chop. Does anyone know of a place I can get a pair for 3"; chopped windshield.

On a 32 you can make brackets that go under the wingnuts, so you don't have to drill holes in the posts. I made some out of polished s/s strap, bent about20m deg and attached clear lexan. I only use them if I'm going interstate with the roof on, take'em off when I get there. I only made them to keeo the wind out of my earhole and some rain out, if it rains. Never use the roof round town so hardly ever put the wings on, byt they're handy on a long trip. By long trip I mean more than 6 hours. Hope this helps.

Hay, Jay......campaigned several of America's favorite car. The '32 restorod I installed wind wing brackets from Vintique Mfg/ CW Moss. Worked great. Make certain you use very sticky double back tape in the clamps.

Sloper, that's a good idea. Thanks for your input for that was what I was wanting to hear. The blast in my ears was a real pain. I have a Vintiques kit that I just bought. I like the design but don't like the fact that thay can't be quickly removed for top down cruizin. My mirrors are hard mounted to where the wingnuts go on he stantions. Don, I really like what Lucky's has. Quick and simple. I think I'll find someplace else to mount the mirrors and use a combination ofthat design and Vintiques adjustable brackets.

Early MG's used them. Early 50's that is. They work slick and look decent. They have a clamp and a set screw to hold them on the windshield posts. Just a thought.
