I am still on the trail of Chris Novak. Does anyone have anything to share? I understand by rumor, and rumor only he may have had an accident outside a bar recently and ran into a baseball bat. Not positive, Also, he may be opening up again in Lewiston Maine this time. I have also reported this to the FBI. Maine's Attorney General is still on the case, as is the Department of Labor. We go.

Glad to see one of these scumbags is being run to ground. Glad to hear, even if it is rumor, that he had a conversation with a ball bat too! We've had several like this in the Houston area rodding business...parts, rod building, upholstery and so on....some "escaped" to other states, some are still around successfully hosing their "new meat" customers and old ones too embarassed to admit they've been hosed, others went underground and let time solve their problems I guess.



The legal system was never much help because so many of the the customers were used to doing business on a handshake rather than a contract or itemized invoice.

Update: Notice: Christopher Novak. I told you all I would not give up. He is presently in Belfast, Maine and his address is 117 Woods Road, Belfast, Maine 04915. He has moved from Ellsworth to Blue Hill to Belfast. I can only guess the rent ran out. He LOST a big law suit against a landloard that threw him out with a judgement of $2600 but we all know that will never be collected. There is strong belief that Novak is hiding assets in warehouses/rental units in Pa. I have found reference to addresses in: Downington, Pa. East Boston, MA, Malvern, Pa. Cobleskill, NY, Lawyersvill, MY, Lincolnville, Maine, Ashland, NY, Glen Cover, NY, West Chester, Pa. most also give reference to his wife: Penny Ellen Novak. I have turned information over to the Maine Atty General, The FBI, the Belfast Police detective, the sheriff;s department, and so on. He has filed bankruptcy again (#7 from what I have been told)and has a hearing of creditors at 11 AM Monday in Bangor Maine but all you can do then is question him about his assests. However if you were scammed by this guy please call Gary M. Growe, 1-207-945-5608 in Bangor Maine, he is the Bankruptcy Trustee. I figure he is going to try to extinguish his business debts through his filing personal Chapter 7. I have been told that he is claiming $600,000 dollars as debts. How much is yours? I am disappointed with the law enforcement, the victims of this guy crimes all for the lack of cooperation for NOT either supply information or for not trying to stop him. Presently there is a real sharp detective, Mike McFadden, of the Belfast Police Department who is interested very much and has started his investigation, I will know more Tuesday and I will post more then. Novak's attorney for the Bankruptcy is C. Peter Bos, of Gray, Gray, and Parlmer Bangor Maine. 1-207-942-4683. Call him and give him an ear full. Also the Bankfruptcy Clerk's office is 202 Harlow Street, Bangor Maine 1-207=945-0348. He has left a trail of destruction everywhere from what I have seen. He built a house, with another guy about one mile from where I live and they told me he took them for $40,000 and since the husband has passed away. Go to the search line on your computer and just type in Christopher C. and Penny Ellen Novak, and you will see a lot. BE sure to be careful to find the correct Novak, unfortunately there are other, hopefully good others. I will most likely loss the $500.00 he owes me but I will continue my crusade as I told Mr. Novak to his face, in court, "To the edge of the earth until he is in jail". Please if you have information call the detective above and help me to convince these people that I am not just pumping smoke. I do have a couple of guys helping but come on there are more and more out there. Let me comment about "winning a judgement".........I owned and operated a sucessful auto related business for 25 years. I took a few people to small claims court during this period. This is the sad truth...I win the judgement...say, 2/3 hundred dollars...the judge looks right at the bad guy and says, basically...";PAY THE MAN"...end of story.... I won. We leave the court house and the guy never pays....period!....Nothing happens?...Now I have to go thru the whole deal again. If the guys a real dead beat he just thunbs his nose at the system....I even had one guy look me right in the eye after I won the judgement of around $700 and said "I'll never get you a dime"....great system we've got!...I'm venting for 25 years of letting people "cuff" stuff then getting screwed. Oh ya.....Novak got me for nearly.... $10,000.00 dollars!

If your reading this....there was a welder / street rodder from the Quincy Mass. area with whom I spoke with about getting conned by Novak. His first name was Bruce. Nice guy, had some T-bucket deal about to get involve with "Treads". Talked to him several times but lost his last name and tel #? He also had a friend/s (KEN?) that purchased a semi complete 3 window from the scumbag but not sure if they ever got the car? It had a flathead and MY front brakes / rear end / steering column and other parts. Would love to hear from any of those guys.

Update on Mr. Novak. As far as I know he is in Belfast. Due to a lack of support of people he screwed I can not get enough support for the AG's office to go after him. We need names, figures, proof and commitment. Otherwise the sanke slithers away. I am still hot to trot and will continue to track

To hhaywardjr.... if I can be of any help, let me know. I live in West Chester, Pa., and also happen to work for the Chester Co. Sheriff's Dept. When I get a free moment at work I will check with our Civil Dept. and see if there are any papers to be served on him. If there are, I will encourage our Deputys who cover the Downingtown, West Chester and Malvern areas ( the areas you mentioned) to pay special attention to this joker. If I find any useful info. He has filed bankruptcy, which I and some others up here are fighting. His mo is to rip off anyone he comes in contact with.period. Please I need your information. Anything at all.
