The Maine Attorney General's office is investigating Christopher Novak, DBA Treads, Inc.



It is imperative that anyone that has had dealings with Novak and are not happy with the results of any transactions please either call or write:

After considerable investigation including the gathering of personal accounts and the submission of this informaiton to the AG we need the help of those hurt most in telling your story to this Assistant Attorney General. Please call or write today...Mr. Novak needs to be held accountable and I have worked hard to see this happen.



Mr. Novak attempted to run a streetrod manufacturing operation but turned it into a cesspool of fraud and deceit. He allegedlly has bilked hundreds of thousands of dollars from many unsuspecting parties. You help is needed to put this to a stop and give him some secure vacation time to contemplate his naval and anything else that can be contemplated. Please, Please comtinue to send your concerns on to Susan Sparaco, number above, and get the "dump" on this guy. I have tracted as many as 6 bankruptcy attempts, they all get cancelled because he does not pay the plan or the lawyer. I also found what I believe is a home building scam that he was involved in, some here in the area. Take note: he was filing bankruptcy while he was taking deposits for street rods from you peple. Help me get him to where he belongs. Thanks, Dale

The bad part of all of this is now when I see an ad from someone in Maine selling anything or promoting anything to do with street rods or rodding, I AM SUSPICIOUS! This guy put a really bad mark on the industry. Unfortunately there are others out there just like him.

I just contacted the AG's office and spoke to Susan Sparaco. She's very interested in hearing from any and all that Tread's took to the cleaners. I'll be forwarding her all my correspondence with Chris to her soon. I hope all of you will contact her. I really want to tag this guy. He's hurt us all and gave the industry a black eye.

Please do NOT judge those that are truly street rod builders from this clown (Chris Novak) With the cooperation of everyone he "took for a ride" he will be punished. Maine is full of good people with the best intentions, just like where you live. One rotten apple does not spoil the rest. Thanks, Dale

"32fan's" comments are understandable but from my experience in the auto parts business for 25+ years, it couldn't be furthur from the truth. No doubt that SH_T HEAD Chris Novak screwed a lot of people! I'm one of them. To the tune of approx $9600.00 ! He has in fact put a bad name on those Maine boys. But the truth is....generally speaking you can trust a Mainer and his word, without any reservations. I dont live in Maine. I don't have interest in Maine. I just know most people from "Downeast" are trustworthy. Thats my take. Evertime I see a 3 Window coupe anywhere it brings back all those bad memories of getting conned. I'd like to see Novak some night in an alley...me with a bat...well, you can imagine the rest of the story.
