I no longer have a diesel but can't believe we'd rejoice over $3.99 diesel! You know I've admitted in the past that the reason diesel is so expensive is all my fault. Diesel was $1.65 a gallon the day I bought my Excursion, and the week after is was up to $2.00 and kept climbing. Sorry to all you diesel owners!

Yeah I know TORQUE ================== POWER.

Love it when I'm pullin a big hill.

Had a buddy of mine who had the same truck as mine only with a hemi in it. We were both pullin the same load-same trailer and same car on them.

Thought he was tough, until we both hit the same pull (about 28 miles long). I never even touched the throttle, just left the cruise on 75, got to the top and waited for him.

Couldn't give me a pickup with a gas motor, and don't really care if fuel is more than gas

Gotta rub it in Dave, had no other choice, U asked for it.

My Dodge is a 4 wheel drive, and towin loaded @ 75 it gets between 14 1/2 and 16 1/2

Unloaded @75 -80 add 4 to 5.

Also I wear glass and I do have 20/20 -that's why I bought a Cummins

Ya fell better now. LMAO

Hey Dave, do you custom exhaust or a performance chip on that pickup? They can make all the difference in the world, for better or for worse!

In fact, I chipped my Excursion and went from 15 highway to 20 highway at 80 mph and it was a LOT more fun to drive! I never trailered anything heavy with it for any distance (just around town) so I couldn't tell you what that mileage was loaded.

Eric-I did put an adjustable "chip"?? box? whatever you want to call the thing and I did see HUGE power gains and it did help my mpg a very little. I really dont understand why it is so poor on fuel. It is a 6speed so I figured it would do a little better on fuel. but who knows...again - I wanted to personally thank you on behalf of all the diesel owners in the usa for your purchasing of the excursion so that diesel would surpass gasoline in price.. Thanks Again.. lol
