Anyone have a vendor that has late30's Ford key blanks? As you can see from the picture, I'm on my last leg with my column lock key. Haven't been able to find one around here and a Google search turns upsome real fuzzy items.

Those appear to be the same blank that Ford used up until 1958. You should be able to get the right keys from any Lock Smith (not at the key machine at Wally-World or the ACE hardware store). A Lock Smith should be able to look it up on their "Key master" software. There are several sets of blanks on ebay that should get the job done as well.

Jay, Yes try local locksmiths that have been aroung forever. Hemmings Motor News. Also try Hugo Solomon in Detroit 800 521 2202 I stopped in there for Keys for my 66, and I couldn't believe what they had in stock. Should be a good bet.

Local locksmith charged me $10 for 1 key for my 40 Ford coupe. Pricey but at least I have a spare now.

You guys will like this story. I've been searching all the lock & key places around for a set. No luck. Today I found a place, Brothers Lock & Key here in Cincinnati, that was in the basement of a house. Nice older couple running it in the laundry room. They dug all over and finally found this old wood box. They found these keys and cut me two sets. Four keys total. check out the cool car on the back. I polished them all up to a nice shine.....oh yea.......$5.60 with tax! That's the beauty in Hot Rodding when four ol tarnished keys for five buck can make your day. Thanks for all the help guys.
