Well, some turd passed me today in a NO pass zone and I got the ole rock in the corner of the windshield on the 33 coupe... It's like a gun shot it... My question is can a local glass company make me a new windshield, or can someone recommend a windshield for a Minnoti 1933 Ford coupe...

Thanks!

Should be no problem for any decent glass company that does custom work. It's flat glass.

A good glass Co. Should be able to make a new in no time. If the galss is not cracked out they should be able to do a fill on a glass chip and repair it.

Thanks guys, it's a pretty good lick in the top pasenger corner like shot with a bb gun, it's not a chip... I'm going to keep it out of the sun until I can get someone (glass shop) to look at it...

Again thanks!!

I've seen some pretty decent glass repairs done on chips. Any glass company should be able to cut a new piece. I had a guy come to my garage and cut most of the glass for my 37 chevy right there.......CR
I thought that I knew it all , but.. [ View ] [ Email ] [ Blogs ] [ Car Ads ] dover, Delaware

I get mine cut for my roadsters and coupes @ a local glass shop. $35-40.

No big deal on yours either- It's flat glass

Had my Model A windshield done in green tinted glass just a few weeks ago. I took the frame to them, they supplied the gasket and installed it in the windshield frame for just over $100. A little pricey but they did a really nice job and didn't scratch anything so it was worth it!

I think I'm going to try the parts house windshield repair kit... A couple guys at work says it works 17.00 bucks... I figure it can't hurt to try it...

FAF - If you can feel a nick or scratch in the glass with your finger nail, it can not be polished out. There is no product out there that can help chips in glass. The glass repair guys can drill and inject resin into stars but that's about it.

Bite the bullet. Spend the 100 bucks or so, why try a band-aid?????
