anybody have a wiring diagram for a linear actuator? i've never dealt with these & have one to install for a trunk opener/closer. this thing has 5 wires & i'm not really sure how to hook it up.

Most actuators that i have installed wire just like a power window would, kinda like ol bear said. What brand is it.

The motor for the actuator should have a name plate with a schematic , if new in the box should have a diagram with it

thanks guys, got it working. i dug out one of my power window switch "test" harnesses i use to set up & troubleshoot accesories with. i figured out the two larger guage wires are the up/down motor feeds & the black was the ground, so hooked it up & it works. just not sure about the other two wires, one is yellow & marked "sensor" the other is red & marked "+5".

The+ 5 volts is is for a remote hook up
