Looking to find a new seat for a '51 chev pickup. Gas tank is still in cab and do not plan on moving it. Anybody know of a donor seat that will give me more room?? It is getting a little cramped on the trips we've been taking. No buckets. Would like a 60/40 w/arm rest. Truck is a resto-mod, with original seat recovered in leather, looks nice, but I could use more room. I know it would give me more room without the tank inside, but I really don't want to move it. The original seat box is about 52" wide. Thanks.

My Toyota PU has a 60/40 Split seat. They might be something to look at, I'm not sure of the measurements.

I've used a bench seat from a late 70's > early 80's full size GM four door. Made a pair of brackets from angle iron and mounted it to the stock metal box on the floor. Was quite comfortable and had lots of leg room.
