I have all things that spin or move out of this car, lots to be done by sept. I have all TCI supension parts for front and rear,, I have the rear end spring mounts clamped in and want to mock this up so it's straight with the world,, Question is what point on a 46 can I use to triangulate to the ctr spring pins (bolts) Thanks,,, I'd like to get it in thurs.

for some reason the axle had been moved forward, I'd like to put it back were it's supposed to live.

With early cars, it is always better to go for a visual on the fender to tire, since the wheel will be a different diameter and ride height is changed. As for the triangulation measuring you could clamp a flat bar to the frame and make sure it is in the same place on each side by measuring from a common rivet or mounting hole. then mark the center point and use it to triangulate either end.

thanks you guys, a bit of discing and I can see where the snubbers mounted I think,, quite the weld!! who knows what people do to a car over 61 years, anyway I got the m2 crossmember in and square, so I'll flat bar those ctr punch marks, bar the spring pins, and as you say Davyj find a point mid frame, flat bar it and measure away, 6 triangulation points, thats gotta work !! thanks Mr J...
