I've worked on alot of cars over the years and seen alot but this is just about the worst in quiet a while. If you can't do it right just leave it alone and let someone that can do it. This car came out of sunny CAlif that has no rust right. They just covered the rusty 1/4 's with new repair panels and used rivets and bondo to hold it. They put roof flashing in the wheel wells and roofing tar to hide it. Hey if you paid someone in Calif to do; this to a 55 ford conv. you got took. Me I don't care I get paid to fix it right. How many times have we all seen ads stating "Rust free California car" or "Rust free Texas Car", I've even seen ads claiming "Rust free Florida car." Cars from Southern California could be rust free if no one ever took them to the beach. Well Maybe. Northern California, not! And any car that has been anywhere near the Texas Gulf Coast or around the Florida coastlines is suspect to having rust issues. Sea breezes and coastal showers carry a lot of salt. Southern California is home to a lot of "flimflam" fly by night restoration shops, maybe more so than any other part of the country. This is an unfortunate example of both ills.

Well, I see the "kiddies" have their recess or lunch period. Don't you ever tire of acting like 13 year olds, or have you just failed to mature?

Another "Kiddie" shows up!

There are very specific reasons why I have no inclination to spread all over the internet what I have. The first being I have no inclination to invite theft. The latter being exactly why the license plate number is obscured on the one photo I did post. In case you people are not aware of it, your license plate registration is public information. Professional car thieves are continually scouting web sites to fill orders for cars to be shipped overseas. It takes about 10 minutes for a car to be in a container and headed overseas. In my case a car can be across the border in Mexico in three hours or less. Now that may sound paranoid, but if you don't think it happens frequently just call your local law enforcement agencies, your insurer, or U.S. Customs. Keep on posting pictures of cars with visible license plates, sooner or later you could be the victim hollering "poor little me!"

Some of you people need think before you go acting like a totally immature, without a brain in your head, moron.

starfire nice merc. and yes this car is rust free didn't see any charge for rust on his reciept anywhere so it is all free but fixing it isn't going to be free or cheap, the floors are the same roofing flashing and tar guess lowes had a sail on 55 ford body parts. RED

I hate to say this RED, but I'm glad it's you and not me having to undo a mess like that. It's bad enough to get into one and find an unexpected surprise or two, which is almost always going to be the case with a 50+ year old car. I've chunked two cars over the years for that reason. Bought them, got them home and discovered too many things wrong to make for a cost reasonable restoration. Best thing to do when that happens is bite the bullet and not sink another dime into it. Hard to make a silk purse out of a sows ear!

Hey, teacher just let me out to play too. Starfire, your cars would be easy to find. One could just go to any gas station in town and say, "I'm looking for the biggest BS'er in town, where can I find him?"

Yup. Eric said it.
