FYI Just returned from a "trouble free" trip from Boston to Nova Scotia. I thought you guys in other parts of the USA would like to see what a 32 foot tide looks like ! The return trip aboard the "Cat" had a couple hundred cars, 100+ motorcycles, RV's and even a tour bus .......Oh ya,doing 42 MPH on the water!.......KOOL Huh?

Ithought they measured tide by vertical depth. 32 foot would flood that little town. I think your looking at 8-10 feet there.

Cool pics though and that is a trip I definately want to take before I croak.

Yup, it was a 32 foot (vertical) tide! That picture is with another 1 to 2 hours still to go out. The water showing is from a run off from the hills. If you could see the other direction, towards the Bay of Fundy you would see a mile of mud (no water). And Dixie, this happens evry SIX hours ! 6 hours untill HIGH tide, then 6 hours for the tide to go out. They have the highest tides in the World in that part of Canada. Pretty Country. Ricko, that parking lot is on the ferry called the "CAT". TLP68, the guy directing traffic on the ferry was a street rodder....He had me park in a safe spot. Yeah the car drew some loooks.

Yup, I was at the Bay of Fundy a few years back and it is like a parking lot. There were caves people could walk into while there is no water which would be under water when the tides come in. When it does come in people have to run to shore not to get stuck in the mud and water or the caves. Quite a site.

Yep, all the rivers on the Bay of Fundy reverse direction for several miles inland every 6 hours, you can surf the wave when they reverse

I guess you have to schedule your boat trips accordingly, Huh? I wouldn't want to own the boat in the picture. But on the bright side, I suppose it's in brand new condition! LOL.....CR
