I have finished buffing my 30 model A coupe out and I am ready to install the roof kit. They recommend you rivet the track EVERY inch. and mount it 1/4 to 1/2 inch outside the original track. Before I get started, I was wanting to know if anyone has installed one of these kits and may have a few good pointers. Every inch. Thats a lot of holes.

try taking a small piece of rubber hose, like vacumn hose. slide it over the drill bit so when you drill the tip of the drill chuck won't hit any metal.

Do it just like they tell you. I've had one for 12 years and it is trouble free.

I installed one on a 29 Buick 4 door sedan I used to own 20 or so years ago and as of a year or two ago it still looked great. As stated above install as directed by Juliano's. The made me up a special kit because of the abnormal lenghth of the car, very satisfied.

www.julianos.com, go to order on line , and then roof kits. Very nice people. Very nice kit. A Model A is a little tricky in the front where the visor goes. There is a polished piece of trim that goes over the visor and I was concerned if I ran the trim they suppy you with against the trim it would not look good. I was wondering about using their track to replace the trim and snap the black vinyl trim over it. I am fitting pieces up tonite and will have to make some type of decision before I get started. Thanks for your help and it does help to get experienced in-put I have found.
