I bought a complete set of speedways 1927 ford fenders because my regular supplier was out. The riders side front has way less arch where it curves over tire causing front lip to be 2 inches higher and 3 inches farther ahead of tire than drivers side. Also the riders side rear has an inch more arch that drivers side.I managed to use the rears. The front fenders are a lost cause.Buyers beware of speedways 1927 ford fenders. The company has major mold problems.Speedway is a great company and I will continue to buy from them, just no more fenders.thanks

Did you contact Speedway and see if they had a suggestion. I have always been impressed with this company and would hate to think that is the solution.

Bought rear fenders (1930 Model A) from them a couple years ago. No prolems. Just recently bought front fenders from MAC's Antique Auto Parts. $285..00 a fender, beat everyones price and fenders were great quality.

I think there is a major problem with the post. What legitimate shop has a phone number of "000-0000?"

Strafire. Sorry if my post offends you.I was not putting down speedway.I said they were a great company and I would buy from them again.I do not own a hot rod shop.I build one car a year then sell it.Rodding is just my hobby. As far as phone numbers go.Due to ID theft, etc, I will not put personal information on a site like this.I just wanted to save some fellow rodder a big headache.thanks

woody1960 you didn't offend me at all. The lack of a complete phone number and references to a normal supplier made the post look suspicious though you were not really severely bashing the vendor. Please accept my apology for being suspicious.

Update on bad parts.Had a fiberglass expert (30 years experience) come by and help on saturday.Said some of the bad fenders may have been caused by removing them from mold before completely hard.If they were removed and tossed on floor or in a pile before setting completely then they will warp.He started with rear fenders and worked his way foward fixing problems as he went.We spent 11 1/2 hours on fenders, etc. He had to add glass to rear fenders in four places.Chop and modify splash aprons. He also discovered that front fenders were 1 1/2 inches too narrow where they meet front of splash aprons.Going to have to make filler piece for that.He also said the riders side front fender may be a lost cause. He can alter arch but says it will probably be very noticable .Anyway we quit at midnight on saturday.I am hoping he will come back in the next few weekends and help me continue to solve problems. He is a true fiberglass master.thanks

.Template was held at same spot on both fenders.Anyway it shows difference in arch. The problem was fixed last weekend by my fiberglass expert friend.Car is sitting in old boat building shop with wood floor. He cut bad fender loose over tire. Then bored hole in front of fender.Attatched wire to hole and after blocking over tire pulled fender down with screw in floor. He cut out pie shaped piece of fender, trimmed it ,put it back.He fiberglassed it in place and presto it held its correct shape.Sounds crude but fender was reshaped with as little damage to outside gelcoat as possible. We sholud finish the fenders this weekend if he can come back and help. Then all that is left is to start smoothing out repairs.Anyway I still think speedway motors is the best street rod supplier out there.I just wanted to try and save someone else the mess I had.Without a fiberglass expert buddy it would have been impossible.thanks guys.
