normal?? Normal is a cycle on a washing machine

now that the 46 is all one color...(and looks damn cool) I have to do something with the hood trim. We are working on a 46 Ford Pickup. To be politically correct we won't say what it looks like, (will we Shine ? ) but like Miss Becky sez...... Its a face only a mother could love :) The hood trim is pot metal, don't want to chrome, and damn sure dont want to paint......Can you polish this stuff, or mebbe buff to a nice gloss, and clear coat?????

Suggestions anyone?

fitzwell--I tried to polish some pot metal a couple years ago and ruined the part. You might try powder coating. I had an intake manifold done in a silver that had a real faint flake in it [no not the flake that's replying] and it looked great. There were tons of shades of silver, some looked almost like polished aluminum.

How bad is the trim. Try bead blasting it for a satin finish.
