| Nice looking ferry...........Our past government (Provincial) built FOUR of these fast cats at a cost of 400 MILLION DOLLARS. They were never used because of the huge wake they left behind and also the erosion they caused on the seashore. So they were put up for auction. They sold to a shipyard owner in Vancouver BC for 20 MILLION DOLLARS. Seems the taxpayer suffered a major loss on this deal. They are still sitting along side the docks corroding away. Sorry I could not access the current forum to post this, that is why I started anew. |
