Hey guys I am looking for some stock disc brake spindles for my nova front on my '41. I had heard that the disc spindles were about an inch narrower than the drums and that space would be huge! Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks

Omega,Ventura and the Apallo share the same spindle as the nova ,i think the camaro and the firebird interchange might be included YearOne should be able to confirm that or your local salvage yard that has a crossover book

if it is a '68 >'72 rear steer, it should accept Firebird/Camaro splindles. If my memory isn't too fuzzy I think all you need is the bolt on brackets to hold the calipers. Check the Parr catalog, or maybe Speedway Motors.

You may find the disc brake spindles on a four door car quicker than you will on a two door. Rear steer was used through 74 on the Nova. Omega. Ventura and, Apollo. The Camaro and Firebird switched to front steer in 70.

I think you have it backwards disc brakes are about 1 inch wider than drums switched alot of them to drum to clear fenders before narrow a arms.

forgot to mention that Fatman's makwes narrowed control arms for this application that solve all your problems. I've had them on my '40 Chevy coupe for years and love them. car sits low, rides and drives wonderful and looks right

I was talking to my dad this weekend about a front end he did on another project and he sent me the way of ECI. They have a replacement kit that converts the stock drum spindle to disc without making it wider or they also carry one to go an inch narrower, for a couple dollars more of course. it is about $595 for a complete front end kit
