This week Mrs. and I are driving our 47 Coupe to Portland,Maine, then boarding the "CAT" ferry (with the car) to Nova Scotia. Should be quite a ride. The boat / ferry hold over 200 cars and 14 buses and can reach speeds of 55 MPH ! Power comes from (4) engines rated @ 9,500-horsepower each!!! How'd you like to pay THAT fuel bill?

That is a nice looking ferry. I think you will be paying that fuel bill won't you - for the cost of the ride? LOL

Pretty costly. Over $700 for car and both of us round trip. Tried to get her to ride in the trunk...but no deal?!

I can't let this one go without a bit of humour,, put your dog and your spouse in the trunk, drive around for half an hour, open the trunk, now tell me which one is really happy to see you!!!!

In '71 I rode in a Russian made hydrofoil across the Straits of Gibraltar from Spain to Tangiers, Morocco. When it got up to speed, about 50 mph, the hull came up on skis. Nice ride, it was like an airliner inside. It wasn't big enough to haul cars.
