DON that is a great car hauler! Dont sell it, make it very good on gas with a good ole' clean up like your used to doing. I have wanted something like that for years. A strong winch on a nice tilt bed= awesome find.

I guess we all kinda think alike--

Already has a tilt bed, Gotta a 3 ton winch layin around.

Gonna start lookin for a late model 1 Ton Cummins donor .

May also look for a Jerr-Dan rollback bed.

Leave the sheet metal alone, Just rechrome the little bit of brite work. and put a KILLER interior in it --

using Bomber Jacket Leather with baseball stiching.

A Cummins???? I'm sure you met to say a DuraMax V8 diesel/Allison 6spd., right? Surely you wouldn't cross breed that vintage GM tin with another inline 6 cylinder. This is your opportunity to avoid having to admit "Wow, I coulda had a V8"!!

blksheep...Twin stacks on a inline 6 cylinder?? AAhhhh,......No....in Charlotte

Dave--- Won't do a duramax ,as it's a Jap built Isuzu

As to stacks- How about a 6" sewer pipe with a turndown just B4 the rearend.

Got 1 on my 2006 cummins and it's awsum.

Blows SH*T everywhere. Like a street sweeper !!!!!!!!!!

True, originally designed by Isuzu, Duramax engines are built by DMAX, a joint venture between GM and Isuzu, in Moraine, Ohio-U.S.A. by American workers. Allison Transmissions are manufactured in Baltimore, MD.-U.S.A.

Duramax has aluminum heads. problems with head gaskets @100,000 mi. Cummins is good for 400,000 mi w/o any problems under HARD work. Cross breed aside you dont want to work on your work truck.LOL. And why would you want an automatic behind a diesel??????????

I HEARD THAT ROBERT! And if I ever get my hooptie running I'll probably have to park it on Don's rollback anyway with the price of gas! Looks long enough to haul two cars at once!

Don, Victoria wants to know if you wanna trade her '48 5-window for it!!! Yes, really.
